Sisterhood

Sisterhood is a welcoming arm of the Temple where women get together for educational programs, social activities and fund raising.  Sisterhood is affiliated with Women’s League for Conservative Judaism.

Monthly programs include informative and interesting speakers on a variety of topics, book reviews, arts and crafts projects and movies.  Sisterhood conducts a Shabbat morning service annually which is always a spiritually uplifting event.

Sisterhood sponsors a variety of fund raisers throughout the year, including the sale of Siddurim, cards for simchas and memorials, sale of supermarket scrip and a game night.  Proceeds are donated to the Temple to subsidize on-going projects.

Every year Sisterhood honors a deserving member as its Torah Fund Benefactor. Proceeds from the luncheon and sale of the Torah Fund Pin are donated to the Jewish Theological Seminary. The 2019-2020 recipient is Linda Skupp. Due to the pandemic crisis the luncheon in her honor has been postponed to a later date.
